The GATE 2016 Organizing Institute IISC Bangalore has deliberately announced its Important Dates for the upcoming Engineers pride GATE 2016 Online Exams. Apart from the few new changes with the exams, the organizing institute also comes forward to provide few important and most anticipated changes indeed.One of the most important changes done with the exams is that, there is no more usage of the normal scientific calculator. Yes, the candidates will be provided the virtual online calculator for the GATE 2016 examinations.
This is officially declared by the GATE organizing institute as follows.
Can I use a physical calculator during the examination?
NO. During the online GATE 2016 examination, all candidates will be provided with an online scientific calculator which has to be used to answer the questions. No physical calculator will be allowed inside the examination hall. The same applies to mobile phones. GATE 2016 will not provide any storage space at examination locations for such objects. If a candidate brings personal belongings including mobile phones, those will have to be kept outside the examination hall at the candidate’s risk.
